-- A patriotic remembrance celebration will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mooring Park Retirement Community, Bower Chapel, 120 Moorings Park Drive, Naples. National songs will be played by bagpipes, a bugler, pipe organ and sang by a choir. -- Veterans and volunteers from Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out, Broward for Peac and the Social Action Committee of Fort Myers will erect a field of crosses at 7 a.m. on the beach at the Naples Piers, Gulfshore Boulevard and 12th Avenue South, Naples. -- The Bonita Springs Fraternal Order of Eagles will host a Memorial Day ceremony to honor local military veterans, civil service members and 14 late Eagle members at noon Monday at 26511 Southern Pines Drive, Bonita Springs.
Fraternal Order of Eagle (F.O.E.) members from Arcadia, Cape Coral and Port Charlotte will dedicate a tractor trailer to Eagle members of Southwest Florida for the F.O.E. International Disaster Relief Program. The program enables Eagle members to be first responders in times of natural disasters.
